Two careful owners…
The
practice was established in 1962 by Alan Stewart Duncan, one of the pioneers of optometry in UK.
Alan
is one of those genuine, likable characters that every one would love to have as their grandfather. People that knew him have
many fond memories of this true gentleman who always had a kind word for everyone.
He
retired in 2001, at age of 82 and now lives in south of France,
country he helped liberate as RAF pilot in WW II.
He
passed the practice on to John Kozul who has all the old fashion values but has brought new ideas, modernised the practice
extensively and brought his passion for the innovation, the very latest in technology, materials, design and fashion.
John
managed many practices, those community based as well as celebrity favourite at Oxford Circus but he loves East Finchley and
the real community that exist there. He was quoted as saying that this is the only practice he'll ever want and that he hopes
that one of his young sons will eventually take over.
This
is some time of though - as they as they are still toddlers!
